Round Cushion Covers

Round cushions are great to scatter around on the living room floor, to use as additional seating. Children especially love to sit or lay on cushions on the floor, in fact my little ones tend to spend more time playing at floor level than they ever spend sitting at a table or in a chair. They are also great for adding a casual and family-friendly air to a living room, especially if you carefully choose your round cushion covers.
Typically, round cushion covers are often designed with multi colors,
and interesting designs. The type of cover you choose will most likely
depend on your room's décor, as you will want to find something that
lifts the overall atmosphere of the room but still blends in well with
your other furnishings and decorations.
I have seen some very
fun use of round cushions. For example, if you purchase six round floor
cushions, for example, you could have six different colored covers, or
three different colored covers. You would just need to make sure the
colors you choose match with your overall ambiance, either by blending
in or by contrasting with your color scheme. They look great when
stacked neatly by the wall, when not in use, and can add a great accent
of color especially to a room that needed a little lift.
They
can be set by a bookcase to encourage people to sit down, relax and
read, or they can be stacked near the children's regular play area.
Round cushions are usually very easy to stack, thus it is fairly simple
to keep your room neat and tidy when they are not in use.
You
will want to make sure that your round cushion covers are easy to care
for, as if the cushions get a lot of use you will need to launder them
fairly often. Look for colors that do not run, and material that can be
laundered in the washing machine, and tossed in the drier afterward. It
is also important, when choosing the actual cushions, that you make
sure the covers are easy to get on and off if you plan on laundering
them yourself.
If you are decorating a child's room, one really
fun idea is to have actual covers with animal designs on them. Or, you
can buy covers with a fun, child oriented theme or design. These can
really add a lot of charm and character to a room. If the room is
already very 'busy' though, you may need to fore-go the highly
patterned round cushion cover and instead look for something a little
more plain instead. It all depends on the surroundings, and current
décor.
One last suggestion, buy all of your round cushions at
the same time, and launder them all at the same time too even if some
of the cushions are not that dirty. With frequent laundering they will
most likely fade over time, especially if the material is patterned, it
is best to have all of the cushions fade at the same rate in order to
keep the semblance of their being a set.
